TURN YOUR FACE TOWARDS THE SUN LET THE SHADOWS FALL BEHIND YOU ☼ Kaname was on his first mission ever. He was not sure what it would entail or what exactly that meant but he wasn't really nervous or anything he was more excited to see what his life would be like as a ninja. He watched the mission board like a hawk for weeks waiting for a mission that seemed like it fit his skill set.
While there were several missions he felt like he could realistically do there wasn't one that screamed his name until he saw that mission that he decided to take. It was nothing important a very low risk mission where combat was not guaranteed and failure would not mean that he let anyone down really as it was just extra info that wasn't really needed.
It was the seizure of an asset who was rumored to have information on several criminal organizations. The asset was not a shinobi and to the knowledge of the Daimyo neither was anyone he was rumored to have information on so it was very unlikely that Kaname would come up against another shinobi. If he did it would most likely be Shinobi who like him were just starting out and had no real experience. By the time he made it to the abandoned building he decided that scouting would be best down where he was. Standing a good 70m away from the building Kaname activate his Byakugan to get a better vantage point and see what exactly he was working with in terms of defenses and those guarding the building. Not wanting to be caught of guard he drew his bow and nocked an arrow just in case he would need to fire quickly for any reason.

AND OUT OF DARKNESS came the hands THAT REACH THRO' NATURE and mould men Silent footsteps sounded upon a wide tree branch in a small clearing from what looked to be an abandoned building some 20 m away from his current location. Takashi stalked back and forth on the branch for what had to be at least the past 5 hours awaiting the perfect time to commence his assault on the building in order to attempt to complete his assigned mission. He had been watching the building to see if anyone had gone in or come out of the building but to his dismay the building had seen no activity in the past hours since he'd been here. From the intel provided to him, there may have been people inside to put up some kind of resistance to his entry so in his head he mentally prepared himself for the possibility of having to take some lives today. Reaching into his right pocket he pulled out a folded piece of paper and quickly unfolded it to reread the information written down upon it, which was his objective to complete within this abandoned building. He had been assigned to sneak in and steal some treasure kept within the confines of the walls, what exactly the treasure was however hadn't been disclosed. But how hard could it be to find something of value in a building like this? Takashi would wait a few more hours and do some more surveying of the immediate area before making his move, not wanting to rush in and be compromised almost immediately. No, this was his first mission, he had to make a good impression, and if there's one thing Takashi never did was rush in with a half cocked plan. He wouldn't move until he was comfortable having weighed out the odds of the various different scenarios before him. « tag: @name // notes: Time to let out the beast »

Hitsujii had been stationed in an old fushimi castle deep within the Hi no kuni forest; it has 5 floors with the fifth being the throne room. Hitsuji had been here for about half the day. The D class mission he was on called for him to protect a crime boss of a criminal gang that were moving through Hi no Kuni. The sun was starting to go down and Hitsujii didn’t have any trouble so far, the boy being simple minded didn't think the awkward sense of stability during his few hours were something to take note of. However, he informed the King Pin's guard to spread out on different floors of the building. 2 on each floor, including the throne room with Hitauji and Kosuke.
Within the Throne room Hitsujii waited within the decorative but dilapidated building, with the asset, Ichimonji Kosuke, one of the lesser King Pins of Hi no kuni. This was his first asset protection mission and he wasn’t really sure on how to go about protecting the entire compound. So, the boy decided it was best for him be within the Throne room with Kosuke, which was conveniently next door to the treasure room. Walking over to the man that was vaguely Hi no Kunian, Hitsujii would examine him closely trying to figure out what exactly where he was from
“I don't see how anyone would want to kill a foreigner” he said to the man, tapping the guy on the head with his fingers. Turning away from the man, he would then walk over to the treasure room opening. It was filled with, golds, gems, weapons and even summoning scrolls. Grabbing one from one of its crude holding spots, Hitsujii opened it and was shocked to discover it was from another country. “Illegal huh?” he said wondering if the man could find him a new notebook and some exotic colors. Kosuke said nothing to the boy, not wanting to upset his protector and also not trusting ninja. Hitsujii walked back into the throne room and sat next to the Throne. Taking out his note book, he began to draw the 2 guards and the King Pin Kosuke in manly poses. .

TURN YOUR FACE TOWARDS THE SUN LET THE SHADOWS FALL BEHIND YOU ☼ Kaname could see a lot due to his Byakugan even though he was within the lower echelon oh the Hyuuga clan he had trained his eye of distance so that it is a little better than average for someone of his rank, making it so that from where he stood he could see everything within a 70m radius. Because of this he could just see the entirety of the abandoned castle and its five floors. He could also see what he assumed to be another shinobi roughly 50m away from him and 20m from the castle itself.
He decided that he would leave the other ninja to himself and if worst came to worse he would use the boy as a distraction. He did however use his Byakugan's ability of telescopic sight to focus and zoom in on the boy when he pulled out a piece of paper. Kaname read the paper from 50m away and discovered that their missions did not overlap so if he needed to he could even use the boy to complete his mission and even team up with him if need be without a conflict of interest. As it stood though he would keep that information in his back pocket as he was not sure he could be assertive enough to march right up to the other ninja who seemed a lot more confident than Kaname felt.
He then trained his eyes on the castle and took inventory of the guards patrolling each floor. He noticed that the fifth floor throne room had the most people in it with four. A kid who looked the about the same age as he was who was the only one within the castle who (based on his chakra pathway system) could mold chakra. Then their was one who didn't seem to be patrolling at all and Kaname assumed that was his target. Then the other two who were patrolling seemed to be guards although they could not mold chakra which would make them not shinobi.
It seemed the castle was guarded by two non-shinobi on each floor and one Shinobi in what looked to be the throne room of the shanty castle. Watching the patrols of the security it looked like it would be easiest if he killed the guard on the fourth floor as he passed on of the windows on the west side of the building and quickly moved in to hide the body and use the transformation jutsu to take his place. He watched the patrol for two hours making sure he knew when to check in and what to say (by reading his lips as he was still 70m away and could not hear the man).
After he felt confident that he could impersonate the guard he took aim at the window the man would be passing by. The guards only crossed paths with each other at one point and from 70m away if he rushed Kaname would be able to make it to the castle, hide the body, disguise himself and rush to the meeting point to make it on time without anyone being the wiser. A 70m shot with a bow would have been hard at his skill level if he did not have the Byakugan but because he did being able to hit something that far was as easy as hitting something clearly in his eyesight. As the man passed by the window Kaname made a slight correction for wind and let loose an arrow which found its mark easily hitting the man in the neck so he would not be able to cry out in his last moments before death.
Kaname rushed to the castle and found that although the man could not cry out he was not dead at all, which is always a possibility with arrows when shooting from anywhere over 20m away. He twisted the arrow instantly killing the man. He then used the transformation jutsu to disguise himself as the man and hid his body in a nearby unused closet, adding the arrow his used back to his quiver not wanting to waste any ammo. He then quickly, but without running, made his way to the rendezvous spot where the two guards grossed paths. He arrived a bit late and when asked why he was late he told the guard that he managed to spot what he believed to be a shinobi making his way to the castle.
The man sighed as if he knew it was just a matter of time but was hoping it would not come to this. He told Kaname to report his find to the boss and hurry back as he would not be covering his side of the floor the way he said the boss made Kaname believe that the guard was not happy that their boss was a child. Thinking of how serendipitous it all turned out Kaname headed to the next floor up where the throne room was. As he memorized the layout of the castle during his hours of watching the patrols he was able to navigate it as if he knew it which helped his disguise even more. Upon reaching the fifth floor one of the guards asked him what he was doing here and he said he needed to talk to the boss, he used the same tone as the other guard he spoke to, the guard rolled his eyes as if he was agreeing that their boss being a child was annoying and let him pass.
Kaname, still in disguise walked up to the boy tricking non-ninja with a transformation jutsu was easy, but tricking a ninja was much harder. He wished he could activate his Byakugan to gather more information on what was going on and where the other shinobi was but that would give away his disguise so he had to have confidence in that his INTEL would be enough to fool this shinobi who probably, hopefully, had only met these people today. "I have come to report that there may be a shinobi either attempting to enter the castle or already within the castle I am not sure how fast he can move but during my patrol I noticed him from the window he was still a ways away and just observing the castle but he may be on his way in or already in, what are your orders"? Kaname was hoping that the boy would order them all to look for the man and even join the search himself. At this point he would sneak his way back up to the throne room and take the asset with him and escape the castle if everything worked out the way he wanted that is.

AND OUT OF DARKNESS came the hands THAT REACH THRO' NATURE and mould men Now that the sun was setting, it was finally time for Takashi to make his move and close in to the building. Dropping down from the large branch that he had been resting on, Takashi's feet silently hit the ground as he took off in a mild run toward the building. As his feet rapidly touched down onto the ground, Takashi quickly crumbled up the piece of paper with the description of his mission written on it, and shoved the crumbled paper into his mouth using his saliva to soften the material in his mouth before he would start chewing in order to grind up the paper. By the time he had closed in on the building, he gulped slowly in order to swallow the chewed up saliva soaked piece of paper. In his head he could hear his father's voice telling him to protect the integrity of the mission by any means. Pressing his back against the ground level of the 5 story castle, Takashi silently panted now that his 20 meter sprint was finished. He waited approximately one full minute before he turned his head upward to view just how high he had to climb to reach the lowest window on the North side of the building. Inhaling a deep breath once his breathing had steadied, Takashi mentally prepared himself as he began to move. Thankfully the nearest window wasn't too far up that he couldnt jump to catch on to the ledge, and that he did, with little effort his hands latched on to the ledge and he pulled himself up quickly just enough to peak his eyes over to scope out the immediate vicinity of the room he was entering. He waited patiently for a moment but found that the room was empty from what he could tell, that made it clear for him to enter without resistance. Tossing himself over the window ledge, Takashi entered the abandoned castle. He gulped again, as he could feel a bit of nerves fluttering around in his stomach, this was becoming all the more real. Takashi was at a disadvantage here, not knowing the layout of the building, let alone just how many enemies could be in the building guarding the 5 floors. And of course Takashi had no prior knowledge of just what floor the treasure would be located on, so he would have to search floor by floor unfortunately which meant that he was bound to encounter confrontation. Reaching behind him into the pouch seated on the backside of his hips, Takashi grabbed the cold metal handle of a kunai, slipping his index finger through the hole at the top as he slid it out and held it in an offensive position. He made a brief attempt to calm his nerves before he took to the door that lead both in and out of the room that he had stepped in, opening the door slowly in case of any noisy doors. « tag: @name // notes: Time to let out the beast »

Hitsujii had been toying with his objective as one of the crime Lord’s lackey entered the throne room. The man walked up to him and explained the situation. From what the man told him, he had noticed a lone Shinobi most likely about to infiltrate the building. As the man spoke Hitsujii briefly tried to speak with Gyuki and see what would be do. However, the stubborn beast wouldn’t even allow the boy access into the mind's world. “Damn It…” he said before returning his attention back to the guard who had finished talking. “You'll fight alongside me buddy" Hitsujii said with a smile, then added. "You are more skilled then the others. The others will go look for him” as the words left his mouth the 2 guards within the throne room quickly went to look for the intruder, armed with sword and shields.
The Throne room was incredibly large, resembling an old wooden floored Dojo. The Throne seat sat against a wall atop a short wooden stair case. The throne overlooked the open floor as if battles once happened here for some emperors amusement. Hitsujii walked back over to his objective, Kosuke, and dragged him over to the Throne and forced him to sit on it. The boy’s strength was great for his age, let alone his skill.
Not saying a word to Kosuke, he would pull his pencil from his pocket. Holding it close to his side as to not let the Kaname notice, Hit made his way down the wooden staircase. Once at the bottom, Hitsujii would launch the pencil at the imposter guard as hard as he could. His enhanced strength turned the writing tool into a projectile as strong as a senbon, but with added width. This was a test to see just how good this so called guard was. Blocking or dodging the pencil would confirm Hitsujii's suspicions that this guard is his enemy. A normal person would not be able to spot a Shinobi, who didn't want to be spotted.
Meanwhile...
The 2 guards from Hitsujii’s group had met up with two other guards and held a defensive position in one of the castles many large dinning room. Feeling more confident with numbers the man turned their backs to the corridor leading to the stairs leading to the next floor. Hoping they wouldn’t have to face any shinobi the group held their ground.
Suddenly, the door would open slowly and Hamura Hyuga wielding a kunai would enter the eating area ready for a fight. “INTRUDER” one of the men said as he rushed the boy with sharp sword in one hand and a dented shield in the other. He would first try to push him with the shield, if this connected he would then try to slash the Ninja with the sword.

TURN YOUR FACE TOWARDS THE SUN LET THE SHADOWS FALL BEHIND YOU ☼ Kaname was nervous without his byakugan and for every moment that passed where he was not aware of everything that was going on his nerves got worse and worse. He was able to feel confident and make his way into the building to pull off this plan only because he held so much more information than everyone else involved, he knew where everyone and everything was at, he knew what everyone wanted and what they were doing; now without his byakugan he knew nothing and had no more information than anyone else. When the amount of information two shinobi had were equal what set them apart was skill and for so long Kaname had been labeled a loser (even though he was a prodigy in his own right) he had no confidence in his own skill and much rather enter a situation with the most info.
If he had his byakugan active, he would be able to tell from body movement if Hit was suspicious of him or if he bought his story, now however he just had to watch the man with regular eyes and hope he bought the story. Kaname was waiting for more orders, hoping they would take him away from the other shinobi so he could continue with his mission when hit suddenly spun around and threw something at him. Once again Kaname wanted his byakugan with it active he would have easily been able to tell what it was where it was aiming and he would be able to move in a way that it would still hit him but he could make sure it hit somewhere it would not do much damage. Kaname figured this was a test but also knew that he could not risk being hit with the projectile so he dropped to the ground and cowered with his hands over his head.
While successfully dodging the projectile, which was easy for anyone who was a ninja, he hoped that the cowardly way in which he did it would relive some of the suspicion the shinobi obviously had for him. "Hey what was that about, I got good eyes i'm an archer so if you wanna sneak and throw something at me you will have to be better than that. Now don't get the wrong idea I am not saying I can take you as I said before I am an archer in a one on one fight with a shinobi this close I do not stand a chance." Kaname spoke in a shaky voice that would seem as if he was afraid of the shinobi when really he was unsure if his plan would work and his nerves caused his puberty riddled voice to crack. He peeked at Hit through his hands while curled into a ball on the floor his bow strung across his back and his quiver of arrows empty as all the arrows clanged to the floor as he fell to the ground in a ball to protect himself from what he could now see was a pencil.

AND OUT OF DARKNESS came the hands THAT REACH THRO' NATURE and mould men Entering what looked to be a large dining room, Takashi inwardly cursed himself for not entering the hallway on his first try. Though thankfully the door hinges hadn't made a sound as he entered, so he couldn't have alerted anyone upon entering the room. Of course, Takashi hadn't known how wrong he was. As soon as the door closed behind him, he suddenly heard the voice of an adult male should 'intruder!' which caused for him to turn around in preparation to end the man's life right there in order to silence him before anyone would have the chance to hear him warn them. But once again to Takashi's surprise, the man had not been alone and had behind him a small group of three more people, making 4 altogether. Fear crept through Takashi at the sight of them, they were bigger than him being fully grown adult men, and each had an intimidating appearance from their tattoos to unruly and just dirty appearances altogether. And of course they just had to have weapons on them. The first man rushed Takashi and charged him with the dented shield that he carried, which bashed into Takashi, forcing him backward to stumble over his own feet. Instinctively, Takashi inhaled a sharp breath out of surprise as he saw the sword begin to come down in an attempt to slash at him. With his inhaled breath, Takashi was quick to action and infused chakra in the center of his being before he exhaled his previously inhaled breath that was now infused with his wind natured chakra. From this breath, Takashi produced enough force to push himself easily a few feet backward out of the projected attack radius of the sword, not only serving to push himself backward but produced enough force to potentially push the entirety of the group backward onto their asses momentarily, which would allow him to gain a bit of an upper hand. Remembering the kunai on his index finger, Takashi spun it around a time or two before he quickly launched it toward the head of the initial ninja who had bashed into him with the shield, hoping the kunai would effortlessly pierce through the mans skull into his brain to nullify him with haste. If he died so quickly, then those who followed behind him would more than likely lose their guts as they picked themselves off of the floor in either an attempt to flee and go try to warn their boss, or would stay and attempt to kill Takashi so that he could progress no further. From what he could see, one of them had that exact thought process to flee while two (potentially three should the first guy survive) shuffled to their feet and held their composure in preparation to attack. From looking at them, Takashi could tell that they weren't assured in their course of action, they looked at one another briefly and Takashi took that as his chance to act. Rushing forward, Takashi would be met with the charge from the bravest of the two remaining people as he raised his sword and shield in preparation to cut him. He would perform a horizontal slash aimed at Takashi's chest though would not see his blade make contact as Takashi instinctively jumped over the blade in a spinning maneuver as he performed an easy 360 in the air. Before the guy could however lift his shield to react to this sudden change, Takashi's left leg met with the backside of his head, forcing his face into the nearest wall which should have delivered enough force to knock the man out cold should he collide with the hard walls of the castle. With him out of the way there only remained one more who stood before an the open door that their 4th had just ducked out of. Fearing that he would be next to be attacked in a similar fashion to his buddy before him, he raised his shield to protect his head as Takashi came down, which left him blind to the shinobi's secondary strike of his taijutsu that was aimed at his hips and not his head, causing for him to take the attack head on. This attack however wouldn't knock him out like the first, instead it would simply knock him down to the ground causing for him to drop his sword across the floor and only have his shield. Takashi now held him in a dominant position, stepping on his wrist so that he could not attempt to grab his sword with his left foot, Takashi then quickly pressed his right leg against the man's throat to prevent any sort of cries to alert anyone. "Listen here, I got a proposition for you that might just spare your life. Waddaya say? You in?"« tag: @name // notes: Yikes! That was a close one! »

Post by Kenshi Wu on Feb 13, 2018 20:59:26 GMT -5
Today had been a great day for Kenshi. He'd gotten his training done early and he didn't have any assignments. To make things even better he'd found a few bottles of wine left at the training grounds. Now he was Halfway through the first bottle and stumbling through the streets singing to himself about drinks and pirates. "Seven Drunken pirates we're the seven deadly sins!" The bottles clanked together as his drunken stumbling carried him closer to the building. Taking another drink from the bottle He heard someone yell about an intruder and moved his bottle away from his mouth letting wine pour down his face and shirt. "Am I intruding?"
Kenshi smiled widely. "It'd be pretty darn rude of me not to introduce myself (hic) then." Climbing over the fence which was right next to an open gate Kenshi fell to the ground his two extra bottle rolling away from him. Gathering his escaping bottles he stuffed them into his pockets and leaned against the side of the building as he drank a little bit more from the bottle in his hand before he began searching for a doorknob.
"What kinda (hic) shitty front door don't have no window?" Kenshi looked up at the window above him and placed the bottle between his lips and jumped up grabbing the windowsill with one arm the other one missing. After a few wild swings he flung his arm onto the ledge and pulled himself up. Placing on hand on the window for support the window opened up. Leaving a window unlocked was a very series security hazard especially with drunken teens running around. Kenshi fell into the room and the bottle in his mouth rattle dacross the ground spilling a little bit more wine. Kenshi quickly scrambled over to it and picked it up.
"Alright! (hic) Which one of you shi-(hic) shi-(hic) bad bungholes called me an Inter Ruder?" Pointing his hand with the bottle he only had a small amount of wine left in the bottle. "Now (hic) I'm a man of-" Kenshi stopped and let out a burp and his mouth instantly was filled with a foul tasting liquid. Swallowing his vomit back down he let out a gasp of air and shook his head. "it tasted better the first time." Finishing the rest of his bottle he threw it on the ground shattering it to pieces. "I got two bottles left and no ones come forward with any answers." Uncorking the next bottle he took another swing as he stumbled around. "Who wants to wrastle?" Kenshi drunkenly giggled as he stumbled around barely able to make out the shapes he was yelling at.
